Site Updates
We've created a more user friendly Music section of the site. All songs can now be streamed, downloaded or bought via paypal from this one section. At your request, lyrics have also been included and are available for each song. We're constantly going to be upgrading this site and your feedback is always appreciated. Drop us a line here.
In other news, we're heading down to the studio tonight to begin work on two new songs that we're all very excited about. Both songs are in the rock n' soul spectrum of Mississippi Kings tunes. Tentative titles are: Hundred and Gimme Back My Soul.

In-Store Performances
As a change of pace from our usual loud sweaty rock 'n' roll shows, we're currently gearing up for a series of shows at Chapters, where we'll be doing some laid back rock 'n' soul for the book lovin crowd. We'll be playing all the hits plus maybe some of the new stuff we've been working on, so check out the dates and come on by!
We're entering the studio in early March to begin work on our first original material since the release of 'Long Time Comin'. The new stuff is even funkier and more soulful, and will take the Kings sound to an all new level! See you at the acoustic shows!

Tales of Europe
The Kings' first tour of Europe was a resounding success, big thanks go out to Max from True Booking, and all the new friends and promotors we got to meet during our tour of Italy! We got to play to some great crowds and see the beautiful
countryside, it was an experience we will never forget! Our travels to Amsterdam and England were also major highlights of the tour, thanks to everyone who made it out to the shows all across Europe!
The response to the release of our version of "What's Going On" has been amazing, be sure to check out the new video if you haven't seen it! We'll be heading back into the studio soon enought to record some new originals, stay tuned!

Late nights at the studio
We finished recording a new song today. It's a cover of a Marvin Gaye tune that I think fits perfectly with the climate of world events at the moment. A song about War, Peace, Love and Hope. I'd love to tell you what it is, but the timing isn't quite right. I will say that it will be released soon.
Really soon.

The song is available for free download here and all proceeds will go to the Stephen Lewis Foundation, to support AIDS research. The Mississippi Kings all played on the track as well as Tom Wilson, Jesse Lewis and many others. Check out the tune and let us know what you think.

Website Update
Some of you contacted us and suggested having a donation button on the site. We listened. There is now a paypal donation button here, for those of you wishing to donate. There is no minimum donation and please don't feel obliged to give. We gave away the album free for a reason, a gift to all our fans.
Bear with us as we get the website fully up and running. We're hoping to make the news page more of a blog format with an RSS feed as well. If you have any other suggestions on how we can make the site better just email us.

Corktown Madness
Thanks to all those who danced the night away at the Hamilton Music Awards after-party. We pulled up at the Corktown at the last minute for a surprise set and I hope you all had as much fun as we did. For those of you who missed it, The Mississippi Kings did a two hour set of originals and rock n' roll classics. Big thanks to Tom Wilson and Tim Gibbons for joining us on stage for some tunes.
